Optare Solo delivered in new Crosville livery
This smart Optare Solo low floor bus has just been delivered to our depot in Weston-super-Mare. This livery, based on the Leaf Green colour applied to many buses in this area in the 1970s, has also been applied to our semi-open top bus which currently operates our new Sand Bay service (100).
The Solo has been specially bought for the Service 16, Weston Town Service and offers an accessible, comfortable ride from West Wick into the town centre.

Vintage Bus Fleet News ......
A third Crosville Bristol L is to join the heritage fleet at our depot in Weston-super-mare. Bristol L5G KFM893 was built in 1950 and operated in the Chester area. It was converted for further use as a tow truck in 1967 but has been rebuilt in preservation as a dual-purpose vehicle. It carries the attractive cream and green livery that Crosville applied to their DP fleet and will add a further variation to the current Crosville heritage fleet. This bus is in full working order and will be pressed into service as soon as it arrives. Call our office if you want to hire it!

We have recently welcomed two new additions to our vintage fleet. Both vehicles belonged to the original Crosville Motor Services Ltd operation so we are very pleased that once again we are able to return them back to Crosville ownership within our Weston Super Mare Depot. The plan is for the both to receive extensive restoration starting from February 2012. Further details will be available shortly on these vehicles along with details of how the restorations are progressing etc. This information will be found within our news section.

AEC Matador 59A returns back to Crosville ....
We are pleased to announce that 59A is returning back to Crosville ownership, we plan to return 59A back into the orginal Tiling livery as seen below. The photo on the right was taken of 59A in her current livery and condition. As you can see very intersting with the changes in livery across the years!

Crosville Bus Rally 2012....
We wish to annonce that we are now taking entries for our 2012 open day on Sunday 26th August 2012. We will be welcoming stall holders and vehicles who wish to take part in our static display of Vintage & Modern vehicles held within our operating centre at Winterstoke Road. We are hoping to have around 50 plus vehicles on display which will be held at the WSM depot grounds. A free bus service connecting the town and depot will be operated. Today we have welcomed a new addition to the Crosville Motor Services vintage fleet, 891 VFM will soon be on delivery to our Weston super Mare Depot. Drivers and Conductors urgently required
Of particular interest to potential employees, due to recent expansion of our bus and coach business we urgently require professional drivers for both our modern and vintage operations. Full and part time vacancies are available. Crash gearbox experience will be an advantage for candidates wishing to apply for our vintage vacancies. Full Category D PCV entitlement is required.
We also wish to expand our conducting team, with vacancies for both conductors and conductresses. You will be part of our vintage bus team which delivers excellent customer service as well as recreating an authentic driver and conductor experience for our customers.

Crosville Motor Services Bus Rally
Sunday 26th August 2012
We are pleased to announce that we will be operating a Vintage Bus Rally to celebrate the revival of Crosville Motor Services. We will be holding our rally at our operating depot in Weston-super-Mare when we will be opening our doors to our heritage bus collection, allowing enthusiasts and the general public an opportunity to see our working fleet and premises. There will also be a number of vehicles operating local routes that were formerly operated by Bristol Omnibus. Our hope is to have 20 plus vehicles operating services in and out of Weston-super-Mare along with connecting services from Weston Railway Station to the Crosville Depot. We will be including further information in due course, with application forms for stall holders along with a souvenir booklet with working timetables so that you can ride on your favourite vehicles!

Vintage Fleet Restoration Update:
LEU 263P, Bristol VR Open Top
Since acquiring this bus from a local preservationist in Glastonbury who kindly returned LEU 263P from Guernsey Islands, Crosville Motor Services have wasted no time in starting the extensive restoration.
Please find a selection of photo's below which shows high level of restoration that is being carried out on this vehicle. It is hoped that LEU will be returning to Weston-super-Mare seafront very soon.

DRIVERS REQUIRED:
Crosville Motor Services are recruiting drivers/conductors for the 2011 season to join our team of staff in running our heritage fleet operations. The positions available are part time, where the majority of duties will be on Saturdays and Sundays. There may be other weekday duties. However this will depend on operational requirements within the business.
We are pleased to talk to people who currently hold a PCV/PSV entitlement to their licence.

Crosville Motor Service starts again.........
Yes after many years of serving the public between 1911 - 1990, Crosville Motor Services has been restarted and the award of their Operators license has been granted by the Western Traffic Office. The company name was chosen as Jon felt past success and quality of the past should be recognised and wishes to continue such reputations along with being able to once again operate the vintage fleet such as KFM 767 under the original operating name back as it was in 1950 when she was delivered new to Crosville Motor Services Ltd.
The hope is to restore CMS firmly back into the Public Service Sector and once again build a proud reputable bus and coach operator within the 21st century.
